TCN Schedules Maintenance at Kukwaba 132/33kV Transmission Substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that a maintenance exercise has been scheduled at its 132/33kV Kukwaba Transmission Substation on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The exercise will enable TCN’s maintenance crew to replace a faulty line circuit breaker on the 33kV L36 feeder connected to one of the substation’s 60MVA, 132/33kV power transformers.

Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take power for onward distribution to customers in Idu Railway Station, Idu Industrial Zone, CITEC Estate and parts of Lifecamp, as well as customers supplied through the Wuye 1 and Wuye 2 Injection Substations.

TCN apologises to electricity consumers in the affected areas for the inconvenience the planned outage may cause and appreciates their understanding and patience during the maintenance exercise.
