Emporium Reporters Honours NUJ FCT Chairman Grace Ike at Leadership Lecture and Awards
Abuja, June 25, 2026 – Emporium Reporters, a leading online news platform and publisher of Emporium Magazine, has honoured the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, for her outstanding contributions to journalism, media development, and professional leadership.
The recognition was presented during the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026, held at the Buhari Bello Auditorium, National Human Rights Commission Headquarters, Maitama, Abuja.
The event, organised by Royalprince Media Services, publishers of Emporium Reporters and Emporium Magazine, also marked the organisation's 10th anniversary celebration, with the theme: “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy.”
The gathering brought together distinguished personalities from the media, government, civil society, and the private sector to discuss the evolving role of digital journalism in promoting accountability, transparency, and democratic governance.
Speaking on the significance of the award, the organisers described Comrade Grace Ike as a committed media professional whose leadership has strengthened the journalism profession and advanced the welfare of journalists in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the organisers, her dedication to ethical journalism, advocacy for press freedom, and commitment to professionalism have earned her widespread respect within and outside the media industry.
Receiving the award, Comrade Ike expressed appreciation to Emporium Reporters for the recognition, describing it as an honour that reflects the collective efforts of journalists working to uphold the integrity of the profession.
