TCN Announces 5-Hour Maintenance at Ajaokuta Transmission Substation

‎Notice of Annual Maintenance at 330/132kV Ajaokuta Transmission Substation

‎The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that annual preventive maintenance exercise has been scheduled at its Ajaokuta 330/132kV  Transmission Substation on Tuesday, 1st September, 2026 from 10 am to 3 pm.

‎

‎This exercise is necessary to enable maintenance crew work on the bay switchgear and associated equipment on 132kV Ajaokuta Transmission Line 1.

‎

‎Consequently, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity to its customers at Adogo, Anyimgba, Ganaja and adjoining areas.

‎

‎Power supply will be restored immediately after the maintenance exercise is completed.

‎

‎TCN apologises for the inconvenience this exercise will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
