CORPS MARSHAL APPROVES STRATEGIC REDEPLOYMENT OF SENIOR OFFICERS TO BOOST OPERATIONAL DELIVERY

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the posting and redeployment of selected senior officers across strategic commands and formations nationwide. This development is part of ongoing efforts to enhance operational effectiveness, deepen leadership oversight, and reposition critical expertise in line with emerging road safety and administrative demands.

According to the statement, the new postings—which take immediate effect—underscore Management’s commitment to aligning leadership deployment with the Corps’ strategic priorities.

Under the redeployment, Deputy Corps Marshal Pauline Olaye has moved from the Special Duties and External Relations Department (SDER) to the Department of Administration and Human Resources at the National Headquarters. Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Godwin Omiko, PhD, formerly the Corps Project Implementation Officer, now assumes duty as ACM, SDER, at Headquarters. Similarly, ACM A. Sanusi, fdc, who previously served as ACM Manpower Development (Training), has been posted as the Zonal Commanding Officer, RS1HQ Kaduna, while ACM M. O. Olonisaye, erstwhile Corps Safety Engineering Officer, now heads the RS2HQ Lagos Zonal Command.

In a related development, ACM A. Umar, the former Zonal Commanding Officer of RS1HQ, proceeds to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS) for an executive course.

Other affected officers include ACM J. W. Toby and ACM E. Odiete, who have swapped leadership positions between RS5HQ Benin and RS11HQ Osogbo. ACM Y. A. Haruna takes over as ACM Federal Operations, while ACM A. K. Odeleye-Oladayo has been deployed to RS8HQ Ilorin as the new Zonal Commanding Officer to strengthen administrative and operational coordination.

Likewise, ACM C. M. Onukwubiri has been redeployed from RS8HQ Ilorin to assume office as the Corps Safety Engineering Officer at the National Headquarters. At the Corps Commander level, CC F. A. Ogidan now serves as Corps Commander in charge of Command Administration and Strategy.

Additionally, AS Ibrahim and CC A. S. Ogungbemi have been posted as Sector Commanders for Adamawa and Plateau States respectively. CC S. E. Dawulung has been appointed Acting Corps Project Implementation Officer, while CC D. A. Bello takes over as Head of Special Marshals at the National Headquarters, Abuja.

The Corps Marshal has directed all affected officers to ensure smooth handover procedures and assume their new duties without delay. Management expressed confidence that the strategic redeployment will further reinforce command efficiency, enhance service delivery, and strengthen institutional responsiveness across the country.
