NAWOJ FCT Celebrates 2026 Children’s Day, Calls for Stronger Protection and Expanded Opportunities for Every Child

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, joins millions across Nigeria and the world in celebrating children on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day.

This year’s celebration offers a moment of reflection on the rights, welfare, and future of every child. Every child deserves love, protection, quality education, accessible healthcare, and equal opportunities to thrive and fulfill their potential, regardless of background, gender, or circumstance.

The NAWOJ FCT Chapter calls on parents, government institutions, development partners, and all stakeholders in society to deepen investments in child welfare and strengthen systems that safeguard children from abuse, exploitation, neglect, and all forms of violence.

We also encourage children to remain hopeful, focused, and determined, as they represent the future, strength, and pride of our nation.
