Senator Patrick Ndubueze Chiwuba, representing Imo North, has reaffirmed his commitment to sustainable development and impactful governance, highlighting major federal projects brought to the constituency.

During his birthday celebration, Sen. Chiwuba announced the establishment of the Federal University of Okigwe under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. He described the institution as a landmark achievement that will expand access to quality higher education and drive socio-economic growth in the region.

The Senator also revealed that a 53-megawatt power substation in the district is about 80% complete. Once operational, the project is expected to improve electricity supply, stimulate local economic activities, and enhance residents’ quality of life—addressing power challenges that have persisted for nearly two decades.

“These milestones, achieved within my first three years in the Senate, reflect a commitment to projects that directly impact our people,” Sen. Chiwuba said, acknowledging the support of the Federal Government, especially President Tinubu, in advancing equitable national development.

Formal commissioning of the university and substation will be announced in collaboration with relevant authorities. The Senator affirmed his dedication to attracting further federal investments and providing responsive, people-centered representation for his constituents.
