TCN Kano Region, NISO Deepen Strategic Partnership to Strengthen National Grid

The General Manager (Transmission), Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Kano Region, Engr. M. K. Bello, recently received the Managing Director of the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello, on a courtesy visit to the Regional Office. The visit was aimed at further strengthening inter-agency collaboration and enhancing cooperation in Nigeria's power sector.

Welcoming the NISO Managing Director, Engr. M. K. Bello expressed appreciation for the cordial and productive relationship between TCN and NISO. He commended Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello for his unwavering support and commitment to fostering effective collaboration, noting that NISO has consistently provided prompt assistance and operational support whenever required.

The General Manager reaffirmed TCN Kano Region's commitment to sustaining the strong partnership with NISO and pledged continued operational cooperation to support the successful implementation of Nigeria's electricity market reforms.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of NISO, Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello, thanked the management of TCN Kano Region for the formal handover of the former TCN Regional Office to NISO. He described the gesture as a significant milestone and a clear reflection of the mutual trust, goodwill, and enduring partnership between the two organisations.

Engr. Bello also reaffirmed NISO's commitment to maintaining close collaboration with TCN in the shared pursuit of a stable, reliable, and efficient national electricity grid. He emphasized that seamless coordination between system operations and transmission infrastructure is essential for grid security and stability, adding that sustained cooperation will further improve power system operations and enhance electricity service delivery across the country.
