NEPZA Communications Chief Elected Ai'Agboko CDA Chairman, Unveils Vision for Grassroots Development

ABUJA, Aug. 4, 2026 – Dr. Martins Onyilokwu Odeh, Assistant Director and Head of Corporate Communications at the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), has been elected Chairman of the Ai'Agboko Community Development Association (ACDA), Abuja Branch, with a pledge to reposition the association as a catalyst for sustainable grassroots development across the Ai'Agboko Clan in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The election was announced in a statement issued in Abuja by the association's Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ogah Akatu.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Odeh, a seasoned communication expert and former journalist with over 15 years of experience at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), expressed concern over the poor state of infrastructure and social amenities across communities in the Ai'Agboko Clan.

He identified communities requiring urgent intervention, including Upu, Edikwu, Asa I, II and III, Akpegede, Ogome, Ebologba, Ojantele, Ikobi, Otobi, Obagaya, as well as Wards 1, 2 and 3 of Otukpo Main Town. According to him, many of these communities continue to grapple with inadequate access to potable water, healthcare facilities, good roads, and decent shelter.

Dr. Odeh said the new leadership would actively engage development partners, philanthropic individuals, and political stakeholders to mobilise resources for community development, stressing that such efforts would complement government initiatives.

Expressing gratitude to members for the confidence reposed in him, he pledged to lead the association with integrity, transparency, fairness, and inclusiveness.

"I stand before you today with a profound sense of responsibility as I accept the honour of serving as Chairman of our great socio-cultural and development association," he said.

He paid tribute to the association's founding members, past executives, and community leaders for laying a solid foundation for the organisation, while calling on members to embrace unity and collective responsibility.

"No chairman can achieve meaningful progress alone. Success requires the commitment, ideas, resources, and active participation of every member. Let us set aside our differences, strengthen our unity, and work together for the common good," he stated.

Dr. Odeh assured members that his administration would operate an open-door policy and remain receptive to constructive suggestions and innovative ideas that would advance the association's objectives.

He expressed confidence that, with God's guidance and the support of members, the association would witness a new era of growth and development.

Other elected executive members are: Engr. Owoicho Ammo, Vice Chairman; Ina Ali, Speaker; Mrs. Emiene Odeh, Chairlady; Ajumi Okidu, Vice Chairlady; Ogamenyi Ikongbeh, Treasurer; Ugbodu Adakole, Financial Secretary; Emmanuel Odeje, Secretary; Isaac Adakole, Assistant Secretary; and Ogah Akatu, Chief Whip/Public Relations Officer.

The Ai'Agboko Community Development Association, Abuja Branch, serves as the umbrella body for indigenes of the Ai'Agboko Clan resident in the Federal Capital Territory, promoting unity and mobilising support for development initiatives across the 11 villages of the clan in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
