FRSC Corps Marshal Reshuffles High Command, Appoints New Zonal Heads, Spokesperson

In a bold and far-reaching strategic shake-up aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness and accelerating road safety outcomes across the country, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the redeployment of 162 senior officers across key formations of the Corps.

The sweeping postings signal a decisive push for enhanced performance, discipline, and innovation. The overhaul includes the appointment of four new Zonal Commanding Officers and the strategic redeployment of Sector Commanders to critical states, including the Federal Capital Territory, Rivers, Kaduna, Bauchi, Imo, Benue, Yobe, Ogun, Delta, Osun, Kogi, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom, among others.

As part of the high-level restructuring, the Corps Marshal also approved the appointment of a new Corps Public Education Officer. Osondu Ohaeri, formerly the Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, has been elevated to lead a more proactive, responsive, and impactful public communication strategy for the Corps.

The newly appointed Zonal Commanding Officers are:

ACM C.Z. Mathew (RS5HQ Benin)

ACM A.L.O. Ruk (RS9HQ Enugu)

ACM B.S. Akande (RS10HQ Sokoto)

ACM Leye Adegboyega (RS12HQ Bauchi)

They are expected to provide strong leadership and strategic direction within their respective zones.

In the same vein, several Corps Commanders have been deployed as Sector Commanders to reposition field operations for optimal performance:

AP Longkam – Kaduna Sector Command

O Ogunjobi – Ogun Sector Command

VA Kayode-Oni – Benue Sector Command

PE Bedford – Edo Sector Command

CE Edem – Delta Sector Command

FA Ajatta – Rivers Sector Command

FM Kalu (MNIPR) – Akwa Ibom Sector Command

SO Ordu – Bayelsa Sector Command

T. Iliyasu – FCT Sector Command

Additional postings include:

KB Kazeem – Kwara Sector Command

LL Fagge – Kogi Sector Command

ON Okoro – Imo Sector Command

ST Adebayo – Osun Sector Command

SD Kehinde – Oyo Sector Command

I Baba – Yobe Sector Command

CS Luka – Bauchi Sector Command

The Corps Marshal emphasized that the postings were guided by merit, proven track records, and the demands of national service. He reiterated the Corps’ commitment to deploying its most capable personnel where their impact will be most significant.

He further charged the newly appointed officers to bring renewed energy, professionalism, and strategic focus to their roles, while reinforcing the FRSC’s zero-tolerance stance on traffic violations and preventable road crashes nationwide.
