The Amasiri Communities have become aware of reports alleging that natives of Amasiri are planning attacks against Nigerian soldiers and neighbouring communities.

We wish to state clearly that these allegations are unfounded and do not represent the position or actions of the Amasiri people. Our community has neither planned nor endorsed any form of violence against security agencies or any sister community.

Amasiri has consistently upheld peaceful coexistence, respect for lawful authority, and the sanctity of human life. Despite the current challenges and displacement being experienced by many of our people, the community has maintained restraint and has not engaged in aggression toward security operatives.

We urge relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the source of any circulating voice notes or materials connected to these claims, including the possibility of misinformation. We also encourage the public to rely only on verified information and to avoid sharing unconfirmed reports capable of escalating tensions.

The Amasiri Communities remain committed to peace, dialogue, and lawful engagement. We call on all stakeholders to prioritise calm and constructive engagement in the interest of stability and unity.

Amasiri is not aware of, nor involved in, any plan to attack security personnel or any neighbouring community.
