Nigeria is described as the largest black country with a large population. Konbowei Friday Benson made this known in an exclusive interview with Journalists in his National Assembly office today in Abuja.

Senator Konbowei Friday Benson who is the Senator Representing Bayelsa Central Senatorial District under All Progressive Congress (APC), said "Nigeria is one of the largest black countries with a large population in the world, and there is nothing wrong if we are overwhelmed and needs assistance from other countries.

He used the opportunity to air his view on President Trump's call. According to him, " Trump call is a wake up call to evaluate our progress. We need to assess ourselves to ascertain if we are making progress or not.

He charged all security operatives to join hands together to fight insecurity in the country. He also called for a stiffer punishment for the culprits to be brought to book.

According to him, " governance is about collaboration, internally and externally, this is why we have other countries and embassies to give the right reportage and create friendship to address issues economically and otherwise

In his words:

"Africa looks at us as the largest black country that has the population and large economy, so we need to create a defense for ourselves and other countries. And we have been doing that over the years. Our military has been engaging with other countries that have crisis in peace mission to ensure things are normalized.

He used the opportunity to clear the air that since Nigeria has been supporting other countries in peace keeping mission, there is nothing wrong if we extend our hands to ensure we create absolute peace for ourselves and develop our nation. Sen.Konbowei said
