NCC Shines in 2025 Federal Website Performance Assessment

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been ranked among the top three Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government in the 2025 website performance assessment conducted under the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) scorecard, further cementing the Commission’s reputation for digital efficiency and transparent public service delivery.

In the assessment, which evaluated the online performance of 235 federal MDAs, the NCC emerged second overall, ranking behind Galaxy Backbone Limited and ahead of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council.

The evaluation was based on a comprehensive set of indicators, including compliance with the official .gov.ng domain policy, quality and relevance of content, website design, responsiveness across devices, security features, uptime, functionality, accessibility, interactivity, ease of navigation, and the institutional capacity to sustain digital platforms.

Officials of the Commission attributed the recognition to sustained investments in digital infrastructure and a deliberate strategy to leverage online platforms to enhance access to information, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory responsiveness.

The award was presented at a formal ceremony organised by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms in Abuja, as part of activities supporting the implementation of the National e-Government Masterplan.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NCC, Dr Aminu Maida, the Executive Commissioner for Technical Services, Engr. Abraham Oshadami, said the ranking would further motivate the Commission to strengthen its digital presence and continuously raise the standard of information and services delivered through its online platforms. He noted that effective digital communication remains central to regulatory transparency, accountability, and public trust, particularly in the fast-evolving telecommunications sector.
