Kalu Condemns Jos Attack, Demands Justice for Victims

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, PhD, CFR, has strongly condemned the deadly attack on residents of Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The attack, which reportedly occurred on Sunday night, claimed several lives and left many others injured, plunging the community into mourning.

In a condolence message, Kalu expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, commiserating with the bereaved families and the Plateau State Government. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Describing the attack as senseless and unacceptable, the Deputy Speaker stressed that the sanctity of human life must be upheld at all times.

He assured residents that security agencies would leave no stone unturned in tracking down the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.

Kalu further called for calm among residents, urging them to cooperate with law enforcement authorities by providing useful information that could aid ongoing investigations.

He emphasized the need to strengthen security measures in vulnerable communities and called for a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to ensure lasting peace in Plateau State and across the nation.
