Corps Marshal Hails FRSC Personnel’s Exceptional Performance During End of the Year's Travel Rush
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, mni, has commended officers and men of the Corps for their exceptional resilience, professionalism, and courage displayed during the Christmas travel operations across the country.
Addressing personnel, the Corps Marshal described the performance of FRSC operatives during the festive period as outstanding and historic, noting that their unwavering commitment and well-coordinated interventions were instrumental in easing traffic congestion on major highways, including the notoriously congested Lokoja axis and other critical corridors nationwide.
He noted that despite intense traffic pressure, extended work hours, adverse weather conditions, and unprecedented vehicular volumes, FRSC personnel maintained discipline and professionalism, demonstrating the Corps’ preparedness and capacity to safeguard lives even under the most demanding circumstances.
According to him, officers and men of the Corps rose beyond the call of duty, working tirelessly to ensure smooth traffic flow and road safety at a time when millions of Nigerians were travelling to celebrate with their loved ones. Their courage, endurance, and dedication, he said, reaffirm FRSC’s unwavering commitment to safer roads and seamless mobility nationwide.
The Corps Marshal further emphasised that the successful management of traffic during the festive season reflects the Corps’ growing operational efficiency, improved inter-agency coordination, and strong leadership at all levels. He particularly acknowledged the sacrifices made by personnel who remained on duty throughout the celebrations, describing their selflessness as the true hallmark of patriotism and service to the nation.
He urged all personnel to sustain the momentum, remain vigilant, and continue to uphold the core values of the Corps as traffic volume remains high ahead of the New Year festivities. The Corps Marshal also reassured Nigerians of FRSC’s continuous resolve to ensure safer highways and hitch-free travel across the country.
The Federal Road Safety Corps remains committed to its statutory mandate of reducing road traffic crashes, promoting responsible road use, and protecting lives on Nigerian roads.
