TCN Restores Power Supply Following Planned Outage at Apo Transmission Substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the general public that power supply was successfully restored at 4:08 p.m. today, Sunday, 6th September 2026, following a planned outage at the 132/33kV Apo Transmission Substation.

The outage was necessary to enable TCN engineers to address a fault identified on Apo Transmission Lines 1 and 2 between Towers T130 and T132.

Following the successful completion of the Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) latching works on the two 132kV Apo transmission lines, power supply has been fully restored to the affected areas.

TCN appreciates the patience and understanding of electricity customers who were affected by the outage and remains committed to maintaining a reliable, efficient, and stable transmission network to support improved electricity supply across the country.
