TCN RESTORES POWER SUPPLY TO ABA–ITU 132kV TRANSMISSION LINE
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored power supply through the Aba–Itu 132kV Transmission Line following the completion of repair works on the line at about 7:02 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The incident, which caused a temporary interruption in electricity supply from 10:38 a.m. to 7:02 p.m., was necessary to enable TCN’s technical crew to repair the red-phase cut jumper conductor on Tower 142.
With the restoration of the transmission line, the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) can now off-take electricity for distribution to its customers in Uyo, Eket, Ekim and Itu, which were affected by the outage.
TCN apologises for the inconvenience experienced by electricity consumers in the affected areas during the period of the outage.
