Senator Abba Moro Picks Nomination Form, Pledges Sustained Quality Representation

The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Abba Patrick Moro, has officially obtained his Expression of Interest and Nomination Form ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Senator Moro purchased the form on Friday at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Secretariat in Makurdi, Benue State, in what observers describe as a strong signal of his readiness to seek re-election.

Addressing members of the State Working Committee and party supporters, the lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to securing victory for himself and other PDP candidates, expressing confidence in the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections.

“I am excited to pick the form as the first senatorial aspirant. I came to purchase it myself, not through a proxy, to demonstrate our seriousness,” he said.

The senator also celebrated what he described as a judicial victory for the party, noting that earlier doubts about the PDP’s participation in the elections had been dispelled.

“Naysayers and pessimists said we wouldn’t have a platform to contest, but today we are firmly on the PDP platform. That alone is worth celebrating, in addition to the victories that await us in 2027,” he added.

Projecting optimism about the party’s electoral prospects, Moro declared that the PDP would reclaim power in the state.

“Government House will be occupied by the PDP in 2027. Zone C remains a stronghold of the party, and we will prove that in the coming elections,” he stated.

He further encouraged party members who were not nominated to remain hopeful, stressing the importance of resilience in political struggles.

“It is painful to lose a nomination or an election, but what matters is the ability to rise again. Tomorrow holds new opportunities,” he said.

Recounting his personal political journey, Moro highlighted past setbacks and eventual successes, using them as motivation for perseverance.

The senator assured constituents of his continued dedication to effective representation, pledging not to disappoint the people of Benue South.
