Former Borno Deputy Governor Leads Constituents to Secure Nomination Form for Betara

A former Deputy Governor of Borno State, Adamu Shettima Yuguda Dibal, has led a delegation of constituents to obtain the nomination form for Mukhtar Aliyu Betara ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The gesture, undertaken on behalf of the lawmaker’s supporters, underscores growing grassroots confidence in Betara’s leadership and performance at the National Assembly. It is widely viewed as an early signal of strong political backing within the constituency.

Speaking during the exercise, Dibal described Betara as a dedicated public servant whose track record in legislative duties and constituency development has earned him broad acceptance. Chairman of Biu Forum, Mohammed Ize Mamman, said the delegation—comprising representatives from various wards and interest groups—expressed satisfaction with the lawmaker’s impact, particularly in infrastructure, education, and social welfare initiatives.
