Biraidu Deserves Its Turn, Says Ex-Kogi Commissioner Ejigbo, Seeks Mandate for Greater Development
Former Kogi State Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Daniel Oneal Ejigbo, has declared his intention to represent the people of Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, pledging to deploy his wealth of experience in governance and legislative affairs to attract development projects, employment opportunities and other benefits to the constituency.
Ejigbo, who spent more than a decade working at the National Assembly and served twice as Commissioner for Rural Development in Kogi State, said he possesses the experience, expertise and network required to effectively champion the interests of the constituency at the national level.
Speaking to constituents, the aspiring federal lawmaker emphasized the importance of equity, fairness and inclusiveness in the distribution of political opportunities within the constituency.
According to him, Dekina and Okura districts have each produced representatives three times, while Bassa District has had the opportunity twice. He noted, however, that Biraidu District has never produced a representative, stressing that the time has come to address the imbalance.
“This is not about division; it is about fairness and balance. Every part of our constituency deserves a voice and a sense of belonging,” he said.
Ejigbo assured constituents that if elected, he would leverage his lobbying capacity, development expertise and governance experience to attract projects and programmes that would positively impact communities across Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency.
He maintained that the constituency deserves more purposeful representation and accelerated development, adding that allowing Biraidu District to produce the next representative would promote equity, foster inclusion and strengthen unity among the people.
Expressing confidence in his ability to deliver effective representation, the former commissioner called on constituents to support his aspiration and join him in advancing a new development agenda for the constituency.
“Dekina/Bassa deserves better. Biraidu deserves its turn,” Ejigbo declared.
