Young Entrepreneurs and Innovators Foundation (YEI FOUNDATION) is Non-Governmental Organization that focuses on a campaign to train and empower young people to embrace the culture of Entrepreneurship in other to better their lives and improve the industrial sector of the economy.

The Foundation advocates for social economic transformation and reformation of youths with special focus on Entrepreneurship, skills development and uses.

WHY YEI FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED

“Our youths are not failing the system; the system is failing the youth.” – Rachel Jackson, wife of the 7th president of the USA, Andrew Jackson.

In the face of daunting youth unemployment and political instability facing many nations, YEI Foundation is poised to discover and groom young entrepreneurs that will steer the continent out of the seemingly overwhelming challenges and drive her to economic boom where youth employment is guaranteed.

MISSION STATEMENT

To groom successful Young Entrepreneurs (Youthpreneurs) by providing a leading-edge youth entrepreneurship platform for sensitization and training that will empower, inspire and motivate young entrepreneurs to transform the industrial sector of the economy.

VISION STATEMENT

To become the foremost humanitarian organization that groom a generation of outstanding young entrepreneurs and innovators in the continent.

THE PROBLEM

“With 600 million youths slated to enter the job market in the next decades- with only 200 million jobs awaiting them- the youth unemployment crisis is not projected to improve anytime soon.” – Not in Education, Employment or Training. (NEET)

“71 million unemployed youth worldwide and 156 million young workers living in poverty: Youth employment remains a global challenge and a top policy concern.” - ILO

THE SOLUTION

Fortunately, the Nigerian youths are largely energetic, wise, and ready to explore the world and contribute to social-economic growth and development of our country and continent. This is the greatest strength we have, for if opportunities are made available, the economy will receive the necessary support from our youth and move forward.

YEI Foundation provides the necessary variables to stimulate the opportunities and resources needed to grow a generation of economically viable youths.

HOW WE DO IT

We attain our objectives using the following strategies;

DEVELOPMENTAL STRATEGY:

• We carry out sensitization campaigns through trainings, workshops, conferences, and summits to enlighten, motivate, and empower youth to be self employed.

• We strongly promote CLUSTER entrepreneurship.

• We serve as a bridge that links enterprising youths to corporate organizations and the government.

• We help established organizations to carry out their social responsibility targeted at organizing trainings, workshops and conferences and giving grants to potential young entrepreneurs.

• We provide opportunities for youths, both in and out of school, for skill acquisition geared towards self-employment, Self-reliance and self-actualization.

• We promote the development of individual talents and infuse in youths the spirit of entrepreneurship.

• We drive for youths involvement in agricultural entrepreneurship (production, processing and packaging and exportation of agricultural output)

PERSONAL STRATEGY

• We facilitate mutual interaction between successful, unsuccessful and potential entrepreneurs and innovators.

• Through our motivational talks, training and platform for social interaction, we promote self-awareness, self-actualization, self-reliance, self-esteem and confidence, fear management, and the setting and achieving appropriate entrepreneurial goals.

THE FOUNDER

Abraham E. Ofeoshi is the Founder and President, Young Entrepreneurs and Innovators Foundation (YEI Foundation.) He is an entrepreneur, author and the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, The Greenland News Magazine. He is the author of “AFTER GRADUATION WHAT NEXT,” “I WILL FEED MY COUNTRY,” and other unpublished books. He has motivated hundreds of youths to excellence.

      Abraham (M.Sc Economics – in view) is a graduate of Economics with a second-class upper division from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. While there, he served as President, Nigerian Economics Students’ Association (NESA), AAU Chapter where he discovered his talent as a motivational speaker and leadership qualities. He also holds Proficiency Certificate in Management (Chartered) from Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and a member, Institute of Practicing Professionals of Nigeria (IPPN.) He worked in Petroline Global Solutions as head of Administration and other organizations. He is a prolific writer and an eloquent public speaker. His vision is to become the continent’s most dynamic youth motivational speaker.

Abraham is a seasoned motivational speaker, a strategic thinker and a social reformer. He is on a mission to inspire and motivate the youth to excellence. With passion and intelligence, he speaks about ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUCCESS and how to redefine limits and removing barriers that stand in the way to success. His speeches are designed to engage, educate, inform, inspire, and empower audience or individuals to have insight and take vital practical steps that will lead them to achieving greatness.
