International Charity Day: Hon Amb. Loveth Task Nigerians on Humanitarians Services

As people all over the world celebrate International Charity Day, philanthropist, people of goodwill and good spirited individuals across the globe mark this day with a clarion call to support the disadvantaged ones in the society.

Nigeria is not an exception, leaders, humanitarians and relevants key stakeholders advocates for the down-throwden. One of these advocates is Hon Amb. Loveth Izekor. She charges ‎Nigerians to join hands with the international community to celebrate International Charity Day to support the less privilege in the society. She said this at an exclusive interview in her Abuja office.

‎Hon Amb. Loveth Izekor is the PDP Councillorship Candidate for City Center Ward, AMAC FCT, Abuja, and former Director, Business Development, AMAC Investment Property Development.

‎Hon Amb. Loveth who has been a philanthropist for years always celebrates her birthdays in orphanage homes every year with the orphans.

Every year on her birthday, Hon Amb. Loveth chooses to celebrate not with lavish parties or grand gatherings, but with the children at Orphanage Home. Instead of receiving gifts, she brings along food supplies, clothes, educational materials, and toys to share with the orphans, ensuring they feel the warmth of love and belonging. Her visits are filled with laughter, storytelling, and moments of encouragement, as she reminds the children that their present circumstances do not define their future. Hon Amb. Loveth true joy comes not from personal indulgence but from giving hope to those who need it most.

Hon Amb. Loveth, a passionate youth leader and grassroots mobilizer, has declared her intention to vie for the position of Councillor in City Centre Ward; with years of active involvement in community development projects, she has built a reputation for being approachable, hardworking, and committed to the welfare of her people. Her vision is anchored on providing inclusive leadership that gives every resident a voice in decision-making, while prioritizing projects that directly impact the lives of the community, such as access to clean water, improved waste management, and youth empowerment initiatives.

If elected, Hon Amb. Loveth has pledged to dedicate his office to genuine community service by ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective use of resources. She plans to work closely with local groups, women, and youth associations to identify pressing challenges and develop practical solutions. Her ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between the people and government, fostering trust and ensuring that development is felt at the grassroots level. For her, Councillorship is not just a political ambition but a call to serve and transform the community.

International charity Day was established by the United Nations in 2012 to raise awareness about the importance of charitable efforts, both by individuals and organizations, in alleviating human suffering and addressing humanitarian crises.

The date was chosen in memory of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who passed away on September 5, 1997. She devoted her life to helping the poor, sick, and marginalized, making her a global symbol of charity and compassion.
