Stakeholders Task the Government to sign UNC Corps Bill.

The government has been urged to sign UNC Corps Bill. This was made known by Prof. Jide Jisos Josiah Ejie, at a Press Conference with Journalists yesterday in Abuja.

Prof. Jide Jisos Josiah Ejie, who is the International Commandant General UNC Corps called on the Federal Government to urgently sign the Bill of UNC Corps which has been at the National Assembly since 2016. According to him, “UNC Corps was flagged off during former President Goodlock Ebele Jonathan, in 2011. This great body UNC and the men of the Corps which are Officer of the grassroots who has been on ground in all the 36 States of the Federation working strategically to fulfill, creating and making peace among Nigerians and to instill discipline among the citizens of Nigeria, sharing God’s love to the people and rendering service to the nation.”

Prof. Jide who lamented that things have gone from bad to worse in the country, suggested none kinetics approach using dialogue, referendum and UNC Corps which includes; Emirs, Bishops and Traditional rulers in conflict resolution.

UNC Corps whose mission is conflict resolution, partnering with the judiciary, ensuring court cases are attended to, and mediating between the government and agitators in the country.

In his contribution, Hanisu Gambo, ACD and Muslim Director to the Corps, described the UNC Corps as a health sector, involving, primary, secondary and tertiary health care system. He reiterated UNC activity is likened to the primary healthcare which is always available to the masses.

Noting that UNC Corps always organise, seminar, workshops and Conferences to reach out to the grassroots, helping them embrace conflict resolution, mediation and dialogue.
